Inspired by Chinese New Year, the Nike Dunk Low ‘Firecracker’ showcases a colorful design that gives the nod to the explosive noise-makers that typically accompany New Year’s revelries. Assorted graphics are plastered over the royal blue leather overlays, mimicking the look of firecracker wrapping paper. The light blue surface of the sneaker’s inlays can be torn away to reveal a red finish that evokes the firecracker itself. Beneath that layer, black and grey coloring is meant to indicate gunpowder residue left over from a lit firecracker. Mismatched warning labels on each tongue represent the finishing touch.
